The dad of my husband, Franklyn Fuller Buell, was a fan of the Dodge motor car. He taught mathematics in high schools in Connecticut. Then he answered an ad to be the math teacher at the Martha Berry Schools in rural Georgia, where the boys had no education opportunities. Martha Berry was astute in fundraising, and two of her “Pilgrims” were Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone. She was able to convince Henry Ford to visit her school in person, and he came there by train. Mr. Buell drove Henry Ford around the campus in his Dodge motor car.
