When video tape first came out in 1962, the General Electric TV station selected to video tape Glendora & Satellite 6 on a Friday night enabling Glendora to go home to Buffalo for the weekend a day earlier. On that Friday a little boy rushed into the lavish reception room of the TV station and asked the switchboard operator, “Hi, can I see Glendora?” Mae Dunn the operator looked over the counter down at the little boy and said, “I’m sorry, but Glendora isn’t live today.” A deep sadness crossed the boy’s face.
